Winter Hikes - Snowshoeing

If you prefer a more laid-back pace, we invite you to take a leisurely stroll amid countryside covered deep in snow, both in and around Wagrain. 20 km of winter hiking paths, as well as a Culture Walk, are just waiting to be explored by you.
Whilst snowshoeing in Wagrain, you will discover the pristine winter landscapes of the SalzburgerLand. Sleigh Rides

Allow yourself to be captivated by the untouched countryside and heavenly tranquility of our community away from the ski slopes, as you experience Wagrain during a horse-drawn sleigh ride along magical, snow-covered lanes .... truly romantic!  A sleigh ride is a complete hit during any vacation in the SalzburgerLand. Once at your destination, step inside a country inn, and warm yourself up with a glass of hot tea or punch.

Ice Stock

During a game of ice stock, it's not so much the sporting, but rather the social aspects that take center stage. But don't just take our word for it, come see for yourself. Enjoy an entertaining evening that is truly one-of-a-kind.  At the two ice stock rinks in Wagrain and the Schwaighof section of town, you can see how you measure up against the rest of your family, or even take part in a tournament just for our guests. If you still have no idea what this sport is all about, we will be more than happy to assist.

Ice Skating

Every day, shortly after midday, the ice rink next to the valley terminal of the Flying Mozart lift in Wagrain opens its doors. Ice skates for adults and children are available there for rent. And so you are able to enjoy ice skating during your vacation until well into the evening hours, Wagrain's ice rink is even floodlit after dark. A sound system provides the perfect accompaniment for your wintery fun on ice.

Paragliding

Wagrain is famous as an excellent place to go paragliding. The Sky Guide Parataxi makes it possible for you to enjoy the thrill of paragliding during your winter vacation in Salzburg, also offering tandem flights, with no special experience required. You will fly together with a certified, experienced pilot, using a paraglider that has been specially designed and certified for tandem flights. After the necessary instruction, your aviating adventure during your winter vacation in Austria can begin, launching into the skies for a 15-minute flight over Wagrain.
