Hiking and Trekking:

140 km of marked hiking trails and footpaths entice you out into a pristine alpine world. No matter whether you opt for a valley crossing over to St. Johann or Flachau, or for hikes through the mountains to Kleinarl and the shores of the Tappenkarsee, all of our routes take you out over magical hillsides and high pastures, accompanied by scenery that is fascinatingly beautiful.  In the fresh, clear mountain air and fortified by hearty regional fare served up at our mountain inns, you will discover the renewed strength you crave so much.

Hiking maps with route descriptions,  elevation gains and times-on-trail are available to you for a price of 5.10 EURO at the Tourist Office in Wagrain.

Our cable cars carry you quickly and comfortably to the higher elevations, literally laying the mountains around Wagrain at your feet. Once at the top, you will find clearly marked trails - ranging from exciting high-peaks walks through forests and past crystal-clear waters, to challenging half- and full-day tours across alpine meadows covered in blossoms. Traditional Alpine huts invite you to enjoy hearty snacks and a well-earned rest along the way.

Cycling & Mountain Biking:

Cyclists also hit high gear here in Wagrain. As you head out along clearly marked mountain-bike trails, you will be able to explore the surrounding mountains and experience one-of-a-kind vistas from "high in the saddle". A bike map for the Salzburg Sports World is available at the tourist office for a price of  9.50 EURO! And if you ride our local cable cars, you can bring along your bicycle free of charge.

Rafting:

"Flying Fox" – the Kesselfall Tour:

A breathtaking adventure experience for everyone. At lofty heights ranging from 10 - 25 meters, you will join Harald Berger as you tackle a total of 4 different waterfalls. During the length of the tour, you and your small group will have to switch safety ropes 5 different times as you make your way safely back to the valley below - and of course, you'll never even get the slightest bit wet.

"Amadé WaterWorld" - Wagrain:

You will discover a very special bathing and sauna experience at the "Amadé WaterWorld" here with us in Wagrain. Uninterrupted bathing enjoyment in all weather conditions, guaranteed by an indoor pool with counter-current, a whirlpool, kiddy pool, wild-water canal and a sensational giant water slide with light, sound and video effects. 

Our water-loving, sun-worshipping guests can also look forward to an outdoor pool with 2 additional water slides, a climbing net, a children's play stream and a broad sunbathing area. Total water area: 900 m2. A spaciously designed, oriental-style sauna facility, as well as a restaurant, add the finishing touches to this year-round attraction.
