Cross-Country Trails in Wagrain and the Salzburger Sportwelt
220 kilometers of ski trails await you for your winter vacation in the Salzburger Sportwelt surrounding Wagrain. Here in Wagrain, two different cross-country trails promise you all kinds of Nordic wintertime fun.
The Tauernloipe is the highlight of any cross-country vacation in Salzburg. Setting out from Wagrain, this trail extends out for some 50 kilometers, taking you through the entire Salzburger Sportwelt region. And, the Tauernloipe is directly connected to many other ski trails in the SalzburgerLand. As you cruise through the snow-covered winter countryside of the Austrian Alps, you will discover a mountain world filled with infinite variety.

Wagrain-Kleinarl-Jägersee ski trail (10 km) |

The second cross-country trail takes you via Kleinarl to the Jägersee nature sanctuary. The successful conclusion to this ski trail is a circumnavigation of picturesquely situated Jägersee lake via the shore trail. The trail out to the Jägersee is about 10 kilometers in length, and rated intermediate. Our Tip: This trail is also outstandingly suited for winter hikes and Nordic Walking tours.

If you don't have your own equipment with you, you can rent out skis, boots and poles at Wagrain's sports shops. Wagrain Ski School will be happy to help you improve your skiing technique. Special courses aimed both at beginners and experienced skiers also help you improve your skill level.
